DAHLIA Moroccan white Handira blanket
This Handira is a vintage blanket made with wool and coton. It was originally a berber clothing that the bride wears on her wedding day.
The Handiras are traditional Berber clothes. The bride wears them on her wedding day after the ceremony to represent her journey to her new life. These are handmade by the parents of the bride from wool, cotton and linen in the Middle Atlas mountains. Sequins are often sewn to decorate them. Today they are used as beautiful blankets or rugs.
